Spring Baby

Ryan took Spring pictures last week.  Adam (Restless Photography) did a fabulous job considering my Miss Drama had an attitude.  The start of the session (as in the first 10 minutes) were ideal.  The sky was blue the weather was cooperating.....and then the WIND started to blow.  To the point that I wished I had a jacket.

I felt like I was being a bad mother continuing on (I mean, the wind was really blowing).  She was chili but in the end she (we) toughed it out (SuperModel-Style) and the pictures came out pretty cute!

Then towards the end we had "the bike"....As I said, it was the perfect park day (other than the wind).  Families were out, people were jogging, kids were flying kites and riding bikes.  As we were walking to a new spot to take some pictures my child decided that she wanted a bike that was sitting on the back of someone's truck.  In my best mommy voice (because I really wanted to finish out the shoot) I explained to her that she couldn't ride the bike and that it wasn't ours.  Needless to say, this was the grand finale:

So I guess I know what to buy this sweet baby girl for her upcoming birthday.

The Pot

The time has come.

A time that, only a few months ago seemed  an eternity away. 

We are officially (as in "fbo").....
potty training

Apparently my child thinks that she is already trained.  The past couple of weeks have been full of:

1. Chasing her naked be-hind around the house because she takes her pamper off whenever she can
2. Her telling us "stink stink" AFTER she has done it......and taken her pamper off....and made a mess that I HAVE TO CLEAN up....and wash another load of laundry AND bathe/wash her--for the 3rd time that day
3. Finding her in secret places (i.e. on the side of the couch or any other place where she thinks she can't be seen) grunting
4. and lastly, again TAKING HER OWN PAMPER OFF TO BE CHANGED

I am told that these are all signs that potty training should commence.

"Potty over here!"  Whoo hoo!!!

Happy Easter!

Too fast

The past few weeks have been full of amazing milestones for my little girl.  She is growing so tall and her language is now full of new vocabulary AND complete sentences...The girl can talk.  NONSTOP.
And I love it.

I haven't posted any pictures of her for a while so here are a few of my recent favorites.

As you can see, posing for the camera has become one of her favorite things....just like mommy.

Ryan,

I love you with all my heart.  You amaze your daddy and I with every breath you take.  You are such a blessing.  A miracle.  I love that you love the same things I do; pizza, french fries, and cereal (Froot Loops) I'm still hopeful on the Mexican food....You even love to talk and dance!  This past weekend you started to say "I like to dance" whenever the Fresh Beats come on.
I pray and thank God each and everyday for you because there is no way that a love like this could exist without the love that He has for us.
