Who is Jimmy Buffet?

My husband purchased some tickets to what he thought was a business networking event called "Margaritaville".  Our plans were to meet up downtown after work and ride the trolley across the bridge to the location.  After wasting gas driving around downtown trying to park so we could catch the trolley we realized that this was the night of that Jimmy Buffet concert I vaguely remember hearing about on the news or something. 

So as we continuued to search for parking I thought, "let me ask my good white friend Allison who this Jimmy Buffet person was".  I'm sure SHE knows.

Here's how the text convo went:

Me: Who is jimmy buffet?

"Wasting away again in Margaritaville"

A person that says drink up, it's 5 o clock somewhere :)

Lol! Russell bought tickets to an event "margaritaville" thinking it was some business social gathering w/free drinks!

Shut up!!!!  They have a following of middle aged white people called "parrot heads"

I'm laughing so hard!!!!

Anyway, we can't find parking and didn't know it was related to concert so were going to just go get something to eat/drink

That explains the parrot head bands!

I'm laughing soooooooo hard! 

I had coworkers leave early to go start celebrating 5 o'clock somewhere!

You could probably sell your tickets!

It would be GREAT people watching!

Then she CALLS (and this is a die-hard-texter) our other friend and tells her about it.  Between the two of them, they immediately start posting on my facebook page:

Josh and I are laughing sooooo hard right now. Soooooo hard. I can't wait to see you and Russell in some Parrot head gear!!

Our Margatitaville was a pre-concert party.

Unfortunately, my Blackberry isn't like the iPhone and doesn't take fabulous pictures so no phote evidence.
