July is almost here

My birthday is a week away.  (This was last year--4 weeks after having a baby)

I am just now realizing it.  For those of you who know me probably understand how major this is for me.
This is the equation of my life:
Summer = Natisha's birthday
For the first time in my life I have not planned my own extravaganza for my birthday.  For me "extravaganza" means:
  1. Dropping hints that my birthday is near
  2. Dropping hints about what I want for my birthday
  3. Telling what kind of cake/cupcakes I want.......and where to get them (or pick them up from because I usually place the order myself)
  4. Making a countdown (yes, I have taught school for 8 years and for real--I make countdowns to special events)
  5. Asking everyday "do you have something planned for my birthday" (even though I have already planned something just in case)
I guess maybe I'm starting to realize that it is quite possible that the world doesn't revolve around me......

LOL.

(Yeah right.)

But for real.
I suppose it's because now I have other things on my mind.
Like
I guess my Nana was right.  "Life begins with Baby"

I'll have to start a new "Natisha's Birthday Extravaganza" routine this year.  I guess.

Spoiled

I decided to not work this summer and stay home with my sweet angel.

I'm having a blast playing stay-at-home mom. I mean, I'm cooking meals everyday, homeade desserts, and my new favorite thing....playdates!

I love summertime at home.

The only downfall (at least to R) is that our sweet angel is now, officially, 100%

SPOILED.

She almost doesn't want to have anything to do with her Daddy. (at least that's the way he makes it seem)

Here is one of many examples of this dilema:

We were watching t.v., she was playing, and I "disappeared" to run downstairs. I was gone 2 minutes (maybe). As I came back up the stairs I heard him telling her "mommy will be right back".........."no, she's not in there"......and then I heard TEARS (yes, HEARD tears--I know, you can't hear tears but I did). I hid in the stairwell to see what would come of the search for mommy. You would have thought she was dying!

Anyway, I guess he's right. In the short few weeks that I've been home I have managed to SPOIL our little angel baby.

And I don't care.

I don't believe in "spoiling" anymore (I did before I had kids)

I guess she'll be spoiled the rest of the summer........or the rest of her life.

I think

"I think I want to start a blog" That's what I told the queen of blogging. So here I go. I guess I want to blog. I think I'll try it out. Will I know what to say? I am NOT A WRITER. We'll see how this goes.
